Introducing our referral game!

The idea and purpose for this game is described as follows:

We wish to reach the part of the blind/visually-impaired  community which may not be subscribed to the various email groups and lists, and who might be better reached by personal contact.

And just to let you in on something, it's not a prerequisite for the individual to be blind/visually impaired for them to appreciate a talking MP3 player.  A good percentage of our customers are sighted.  Many sighted people use these talking MP3 players when it's inconvenient or even unsafe to be looking at the screen, as in driving, working out, jogging, etc.  Our own kids who drive use the talking MP3 players when they're on the road.

There are a lot of people out there, whether sighted or not, that can be introduced to our affordable talking MP3 players, and it would only take a few moments to introduce them to the players and the website where they can be found.

Here's the deal:

Each individual that you refer to our website and who makes a purchase will earn you a 5% credit based on their purchase price, any shipping and handling excluded.  It doesn't matter if they purchase players, accessories, or whatever, you will earn a 5% credit based on their full purchase price.

These credits may be used to purchase anything from our website, and you may allow them to accumulate for as long as you wish before using them.  In this way if all you want is a case for your player, you may use your credits as soon as they're clear (see the rules below), or if you wish to get a player, you may let them accumulate until you have enough credits to cover the full or partial price of one.

Note:  A 5% credit is actually a very-high percentage when dealing in electronic equipment.  For example if you were to join the affiliate program with NewEgg, you might get as high as 3 to 4% on any purchases made by your referrals, and that's about the highest percentage we've seen out there.

Here are the rules for our referral game:

1.  If your referral makes a purchase, they have to specify that you referred them in an email to: talkingmp3players@gmail.com, including your name and email address in order to receive your credit.
2.  If your referral makes several separate purchases, they need to inform us each time that you referred them as above, in order to receive your credit.
3.  If your referral returns the purchased item/items for any reason, then you lose those referral credits.
4.  Any referral credits become active and count towards your total credits after 15 days and may be used at any time thereafter.
5.  You may not refer yourself, but anyone else is fair game and may be referred.

It is our hope that most of you if not all, participate in this referral game and that we start reaching more individuals in the blind/visually-impaired community.  They should be made aware that they can have an accessible, affordable, talking MP3 player for under $100.

There are many ways in which customers may be referred but here are a few examples of how some of our customers have accomplished it in the past.

1.  One of our customers sent an email to all her friends, telling them about our players, resulting in many sales.
2.  One of our customers showed it around to his co-workers, neighbors, and friends, resulting in many sales.
3.  One of our customers sent out a notice in a regional email list, which reached many people in about 3 or 4 states, resulting in many sales.
4.  Others have mentioned our MP3 players when answering a related question regarding accessible MP3 players on several email lists.
5.  Others have made mention of the players in emails to mailing lists whose main subject is the trading and sharing of audio files.  If doing this one, be sure that you don't break any list rules.  If you're unsure, check with the list owner or a moderator first.
6.  Some have blogged about our players or made special mention of them on their own website or even gotten them mentioned on websites belonging to others.
7.  Our highest order so far was made by someone who wanted one of our players, and he talked some of his friends into ordering their players at the same time.

Those are just a few of the different ways in which some of our customers have introduced others to our talking MP3 players.  It's not a complete list by any means, and I'm sure some of you will come up with bright ideas that have yet to be thought of.

The referral game starts on May  8th, 2010.  So, you can start racking up those credits towards anything from our website.  If you've been wanting one of our talking MP3 players but just didn't have the funds, here's your chance to get one of our players for free, just by accumulating enough credits!
